Landforms

We split up into two teams, girls vs. boys, and put together a landforms puzzle. The boys won!

Creepy Carrots!

Telling Time

Learning time with a hula hoop! This was a lot of fun. The students labeled the clock themselves and set the hands to explain to each other how to read a clock.

Cloudy With a Chance of...

"I don't want it to rain meatballs, but I do wish it would rain...."1.Bacon and eggs
2. Cookies
3. Chinese food
4. Pepperoni pizza

(Craft to go along with out Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs writing prompt)

Fact Family War!

This was amazing! The class got a kick out of adding a competive element to traditional learning and so did I. I randomly chose a girl and a boy to go up to the board and complete the fact family. Whoever finished first AND had the correct answer scored a point for their team!

Main Idea vs. Key Details

We wrote about what we did over the summer and then chose one small, "key" detail from our writing to expand on. These turned out great and if you look closely you can see where they illustrated the key details in the reflection of their sunglasses!

Building Community Through Crafts!

Tracing this and having the students color it was so much fun! It's neat to see all of the different ways the kids decorated their personal crayon for the wall.

The Day the Crayons Quit

This is one of my class' favorite reads! We were so excited when it came in the mail!

Wild Rumpus

We read Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and completed a writing activity that included making our very own Wild Thing and Max hand puppets!

Our Class

I have such a great bunch of life-learners. My students love to read (lucky me)!
